SOLAR SYSTEM EXPLAINER

This was an assignment given in Motion Graphics II, and we were given the broad choice of an explainer video. This was all done in after effects and the illustrations were created in procreate and illustrator. The goal of this was to successfully animate a 30 sec to 1 minute video, while explain a concept or a point. This project was not as easy as the other, because I had so many assets to build and animate. There were not requirements other than what we had learned during the year so I challenged myself to many nights of youtube tutorials and came out with a perfect product.

I started with simple storyboarding after researching my concept for the solar system. It was simple explanations so I had to make each planet interesting. Then, I went ahead, did a bunch of sketches and found the final design for my planets. I put that into procreate then sent then to illustrator to finalize them. The animations took me a lot of time but I learned from it and finished with my ideal video.

I loved the way everything blends together to give the old time vibes but also with a modern touch. Theres nothing more I would change as I got no bad feedback from the evaluation perspective. This was one of my most exciting projects.
